Interestingly, it's been exactly one year since my last post. What's happened since then?
Work has been going well; I feel really great about working for Kroger. My organization is very tight, with
lots of collaboration between teams. Within a few months of starting, I was already scheduled for travel to
a conference, an on site meeting, and a training course that resulted in a certification. Not too shabby.
In addition, about a week after my last post, I found my current home. I got to experience the process of
making an offer and purchasing a house, but now after living here for eight months I think I'm finally
"moved in". An unfortunate side effect of this move was that this website went down in August when I yanked
the power cable on the Raspberry Pi keeping the show going.
Last week, I got an email from my domain name provider that jmedcoff.com was expiring. So, I renewed, then
got this site stood up in a Microsoft Azure Static Web App. In all likelyhood, I won't have to pay much more
for the hosting than I did to keep the Pi running. While getting the website going again, I've taken the
liberty to refresh the site with a new look, based on the solarized color scheme.
There's not a whole lot more to say; life is good, and as we crawl out of another Michigan winter I'm
looking forward to the rest of this year.
